More About Me

Entrance to Hell (via Peter*Martin)
Man-made entrance to an abandoned, decaying mill in downtown Lowell. I’m not kidding about how bad it is in there…it’s being used as a crack den and repository for stolen construction supplies. There are needles and pipes all over, a filthy mattress in the corner, and what appears to be some appliances hooked up to electricity, which is being stolen from god knows where. Most interesting, there are lights hooked up all over the collapsing ceiling, and I couldn’t help but be reminded of Ellison’s Invisible Man hooking up hundreds of light bulbs and letting them blaze away in his hidden basement. The incredibly chilly air in this place tastes like death. Worth noting.
