Ran my ipod through the washing machine…not good. Just disassembled it and put it in the oven at 170 degrees for an hour, hopefully the hard drive managed to remain sealed. The battery might be ok, the power was off and it hasn’t been started up since I realized my mistake, so I’m hoping there hasn’t been a short. I don’t really know what effect the laundry detergent will have; it can’t be as corrosive as saltwater, but it probably is a far cry from distilled water too. After it takes a nice long tanning session to completely dry out, I’ll give it a couple days to relax and reflect on our relationship before I try plugging it in again.
