Whew…decided to just absolutely nuke my GMail inbox today and start practicing Inbox Zero for my own sanity. I already have dozens of filters set up so that the only information that hits the inbox is stuff I would want to know, things like direct emails, personal messages from Facebook, Last.FM, Flickr, and Vimeo, some Obama campaign updates, couple other random things. Automatically archived are group forwards, any product related things, non-critical information from financial companies, etc.
Now, however, I’ve taken the next step…archiving all 4000 conversations that were still in the inbox. From now on everything gets acted on then archived. At least for the next 24 hours until I forget all about this plan.
