Well, I’ve been a bit slow on the short film work, but things are coming along. Froze my ass off at 2am to get some moon shots. My cheapo tripod didn’t hold up particularly well in the wind, but Photoshop came to the rescue. After processing the raw files in Lightroom, I imported 28 frames as separate layers (scripting menu), and checked off “auto-align” which did a pretty fantastic job. I then cropped it down to 1080x1920, exported the layers as individual jpgs, and pulled them all into Final Cut. Lined everything up with the music and voila, I have one scene “in the can”.
