I guess we’ll all have to work or something.

I had Gmail at work for two weeks, loved it, and then THE MAN went and blocked it.

I am the oppressed :-(

I used to work at a large firm with a somewhat oppressive web policy, and I was able to sneak by the filter through a combination of Firefox’s user agent switcher extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59) and google’s mobile site (using the iphone as my user agent). Didn’t work every time, but seemed to get through pretty consistently, for whatever reason.

For the record, I probably wasted about ten times as much “productivity time”  figuring this out as I would have on Gmail…and Google’s security is infinitely better than the third-party vendor we were using to filter email before it arrived at our decade-old Lotus Notes client, so that’s no excuse either.
