AND let’s not forget the final bitter twist - You’re going to reap just what you sow.

That said, I still listen to darker songs at my happiest moments, so hearing those songs can actually bring happier times to mind.

Absolutely - Heroin is my favorite song ever, and it tends to put a smile on my face every damned time…weird. Something about “I wish that I was born a thousand years ago/I wish that Id sail the darkened seas/On a great big clipper ship/Going from this land here to that/In a sailors suit and cap/Away from the big city/Where a man can not be free/Of all of the evils of this town/And of himself, and those around/Oh, and I guess that I just dont know/Oh, and I guess that I just dont know” just really clicks. All comes back to the generational “I can do anything so I start nothing” lament, I suppose.
