1958 - Touch of evil: opening shot (via GreatestFilmScenes)

Incredible opening scene from Orson Welles’ Touch of Evil. 3:30 of tracking, starting in a closeup and panning up to a moving crane shot. Even more impressive is that he shot it this way to match the bomb timer and build suspense, not simply to flex his cinematic muscle.
